Our brief from Lorna was that she "loved" her standard lamp, which was bright orange. She wanted to accentuate this colour.
Also lighting up the 2.5m long table, using only one ceiling rose but to have the light spread along the length of the table.
We settled on a smoked glass Bertie mid pendant light and orange cable combination and created a funky spider cluster which looks perfect in its new home.
"I contacted Emily after seeing her beautiful glass lights in a magazine. We had our living/dining room rebuilt in green oak and newly decorated but realised that the dining table needed a lot more light and we were uncertain of how to do this. As wanted simple, bold high quality lighting above the dining table but didn’t want to cause too much disruption and decoration but we didn’t have any way of getting wiring through the ceiling as underfloor heating above. I sent some pictures through to Emily, then we met up at her studio and she came up with the perfect and simple, yet effective design and installation ideas. We used beautiful smoked glass goblet shades being wired from the side wall and hanging above the table, which looks stunning. The selection of various fittings and to be able to see them all made it so easy to customise the lights to fit perfectly in the room. Everything was carried out professionally and speedily, I would definitely recommend Emily and her team to anyone looking for fresh, contemporary and yet still classical lighting in their home. Thank you very much Emily and your team for being so helpful and inspirational". - Lorna.
And a great setting for a party :)
